Coach Steven, Swim Director
As a swimmer I started in the Vernon pool back in 1974 - passed my tadpoll level and went on to join the VKSC. After 21 years of competing and making the 1988 Olympics, break world records and winning 44 National Titles I began coaching in 1995. The Vancouver Vikings Summer Club was my first job as a coach and ever since I have been coaching in year round clubs and summer clubs.
I currently Lifeguard and swim instruct at the Vernon Rec Centre and look forward to beginning coaching across the North Okanagan during our summer season.
I have coached swimmers from 3 years old, adapted/para swimmers to Paralympics, able bodied swimmers to the Olympics, and Masters swimmers.
As a NCCP Level 4 coach I am looking forward to bringing all of my 50 years of experience to the Tigers.
